THE ADVENTURES OF RADDY THE TEDDY

Raddy the Teddy has heard that there is a Radford College Giving Day and is keen to be part of this exciting adventure.

Raddy has seen how all of his Radford teddy friends have loved being part of the community and wants to join in too.

The thing with Raddy is that he will need a home . . . will you be able to help?

We will be drawing the winning family on Tuesday 4 June 2024 following today's Giving Day Pop Up Stall.

Raddy was welcomed to the College by Year 4 students Hilary Seow and

Ethan Glavonjic.

Raddy visited the Morison Centre, welcomed visitors to the College and even received a few phone calls.

It is very tiring work though and he ended up sitting in one of the visitors chairs for the remainder of the day.

Raddy was invited to join Ms Wilson’s Pre-Kindergarten class today. Raddy danced and sang along to Rock-a-bye Your Bear and Baby Shark with all the very enthusiastic students before heading out for morning teatime and a play in the beautiful ELC gardens.

Raddy’s honey sandwiches were a delicious treat.

Thank you, Pre-K, for a wonderful adventure and making Raddy feel very

welcomed this morning.

Raddy the Teddy joined the Year 3’s at Mr Kinnane’s Basketball lesson in the Collegians Centre today. Raddy was even given his very own basketball jersey and participated in their warmup game. Thank you, Mr Kinnane and the Year 3 students, for welcoming Raddy to shoot some hoops with you, he hasn't stopped talking about it!

Wondering how our College grounds look so great? Look no further! Raddy joined our facilities team today. This team works incredibly hard to ensure our college looks amazing and operates smoothly. Raddy has no doubt been a huge help today. Thanks, Matt, and the team!

After all the basketball today  it was time for a snack. Huge thanks to our talented secondary students for putting on delicious treats today at the College to raise funds to support Anglicare Australia Winter Appeal.

Participating in a co curricular activity is a very important part of college life, it strengthens friendships, promotes team work and builds confidence for the student to improve and learn new things. This afternoon, Raddy loved being part of our Radford Dance Academy crew. Raddy has added some new dance moves to the crews shows and we can’t wait to see them in action. Thanks to our our talented dance students for welcoming Raddy to your class.

Raddy tried his paws at music today, with thanks to Kirsten Knight, Head of Co-curricular Music. Students in Year 3 are introduced to Strings as part of the curriculum and play two concerts a year in front of family and friends to showcase what they have learnt. Raddy does have a long way to go but Ms Knight is always so helpful and patient!

Raddy had a wonderfully musical morning!

Giving Day 4.jpg

Raddy had a wonderful afternoon meeting so many families at the Giving Day Pop Up Stall. So many families registered their interest to adopt Raddy and he is very excited! On Tuesday 4 June we will know who Raddy is going home with! Raddy is pictured with our Foundation Directors, Andrea Wang and Donna Driver who were overseeing the Giving Day Pop Up stall on 30 May 2024.
